We are seeking skilled and experienced Steel Fixers to join our construction team. The Steel Fixers will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing steel reinforcement structures and bars according to construction plans and specifications. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to determine the required steel reinforcement structures.
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel bars and meshes using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Position and secure steel bars in concrete forms, ensuring proper alignment and spacing according to engineering specifications.
- Install temporary braces, jigs, and other supports as necessary during the concrete pouring process.
- Weld or tie steel bars together using various techniques such as wire tying or welding machines.
- Verify the accuracy and quality of steel reinforcement structures through visual inspection and measurements.
- Collaborate with other construction team members, including concrete workers and supervisors, to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any issues, delays, or concerns to the supervisor or project manager promptly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of steel reinforcement techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Proficient in measuring, cutting, bending, and shaping steel bars.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy steel bars and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Understanding of safety regulations and the ability to prioritize safety at all times.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
