is a premier not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services. The
Center provides quality care and serves all ages in a continuum of prevention,
early intervention, social, co-occurring, addiction, outpatient and crisis
services. The Center is seeking motivated staff members that possess the
ability to relate to individuals
and families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, educational
levels and economic circumstances with respect and dignity. Excellent
verbal, written and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively
and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies and community
professionals, as well as, maintaining proper documentation. Clinical staff members must be able to
take and pass without major modification a course in Handle with Care, which
requires hands-on, physical components to ensure the safety of the clients and
staff. Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, ability to
acquire an F endorsement on driver's license and transport clients.

currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic professional for the following position: Knox Co-Occurring Redirections Case Manger.
Job
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field of counseling, psychology or social
work, or must be licensed as a nurse (LPN or RN). LPNs must have fifteen
(15) semester hours of behavioral health and one (2) years of behavioral health
care or A&D experience. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in
rehabilitation, occupational therapy, criminal justice, and education must have
fifteen (15) college-level semester hours of course work in behavioral health
and at least one (1) year of work experience in the behavioral health setting.
This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct
Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status
is a condition of employment. This position also requires that the employee has
an F Endorsement on his/her Driver License to be available to transport
individuals as needed. Required to be certified in and adequately
implement verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide
range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another
person, running, and walking. Physical de-escalation techniques will only be
implemented at Helen Ross McNabb Center facilities, and not in community
settings.
Experience: Must have course work and or
experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and
treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse,
suicide, and mental retardation. One year experience preferred. Experience
working with adolescents as well as previous experience in the alcohol and drug
field is preferred although applicants may have other skills and experiences
that could accommodate this position. Experience/knowledge of motivational
interviewing, Re-Ed philosophy, principles of case management and 12-step
programs, as well as assessment, treatment planning and after-care is also
beneficial.
Physical: Must be capable of driving a
van and also transporting clients in personal vehicle. Ability to effectively
and ethically counsel children and families. Ability to present professionally
and work within a team format to plan, implement, and evaluate successful
interventions. Ability to effectively run and process and
psycho-educational groups with children/adolescents and families. Ability
to work within a team format to meet positive goals for children and interface
with other agencies involved in the ecology of the family. Must be
capable of assisting in utilizing nonviolent methods of crisis intervention
including therapeutic holding. Must have mental ability to exercise sound judgment
under pressure and effective decision-making skills, ability to set and
demonstrate appropriate boundaries, ability to be an empathic listener,
flexibility, willingness, and adaptability to working with diverse
populations. Must also have the ability to communicate effectively and
possess good time management and organizational skills. Must be computer literate and have ability
to communicate effectively (oral and written communication.)

Job
Summary: The
Intensive Co-occurring Case Manager is responsible for coordinating and
providing intensive case management and care coordination for clients enrolled
in IOP or continuing care/recovery services. In addition to intensive community
case management, the Specialist is responsible for planning and leading weekly
intervention group in the Redirections program and co-facilitating IOP groups
as needed. This position is responsible
for TASI assessments, coordinating transportation services and assisting the
Master Clinical Counselor by providing substance abuse education, advocacy,
linkage and referrals, and completing related documentation in order to adhere
to the guidelines of the program. The
position interfaces with agencies to increase cooperation and consistency
between home, school, and community. Functions as a primary member of the
treatment team to plan, implement, and evaluate successful interventions for
children and families. Embraces the key values and principles of the
Re-Ed Philosophy and the key values of case management: empowerment, normalization,
rehabilitation, and continuity of care.
Due to the
diversity of job responsibilities, this position requires flexibility in
scheduling. This position requires an F endorsement on a Driver's license. Any other duties may be assigned as deemed
appropriate.
Provides
advocacy, linkage, and referral services as needed
Maintains
appropriate chart records
Interfaces
with TnCare, families, courts, school systems and other agencies to coordinate
care
Provides
co-occurring psycho-education as needed
Knowledge
and education in co-occurring stages of change and case management philosophy
Provides
medication monitoring
Completes
all documentation in a timely manner
Participates
in treatment team meetings with a psychiatrist
Participates
in court hearings, IEPs and other school related meetings as needed or as
requested by families
Provides
therapeutic support and crisis intervention
Upholds
center policy and procedures, and CARF standards
