Flight Dispatcher


 

Flight Dispatcher Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, College Degree in business or aviation related fields preferred; a minimum of two (2) years of successful related experience preferably in the Aerospace/Aviation/Airline industry or other Transportation/logistics industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous customer service and / or sales experience
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and rapidly changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and superior customer service
  • Experience with a 24/7 on-call scheduling

Preferred

  • Scheduling system knowledge a plus
  • Strong aviation background with an emphasis on aircraft Dispatching under FAR 135
  • Technically oriented with a thorough understanding of aviation weather, flight planning, aircraft performance, Federal Aviation Regulations and the ability to create and implement plans in a dynamic environment
  • Dispatch certification

Dispatch Job Expectations:

To perform the administrative responsibilities of a Dispatch in a timely and responsible fashion defined in the Policy and Procedures Manual

  • Coordinate with ATC, crew scheduling, Maintenance Control, Sales and Ground operations to efficiently utilize resources to achieve customer service.
  • Dispatch company aircraft according to Government and Company regulations as set forth in FAR 135
  • Prepare all necessary flight arrangements within flight operations system (BART), including but not limited to: leg notes, customs, handling, fuel, catering, ground transportation, overfly permits)
  • Coordinate international flight planning activities.
  • Actively flight follows flights from departure through arrival.
  • Coordinates specific flight crew requests in a timely and efficient manner, responds with options, when appropriate, to ensure the crews needs are met or exceeded.
  • Anticipates and proactively takes action to deal with future events, situations, and opportunities.
  • Effectively uses communication skills and tools to convey timely and accurate information to Flight Crews, Operations Management, Flight Operations Personnel and others as needed to produce safe, efficient and timely flight planning services.
  • Works effectively with internal and external customers, as well as peers and management, to provide safe and efficient airlift support services to flight crews and
  • Maintains knowledge of crewmember and aircraft locations.
  • As needed, helps to facilitate and communicate crew logistical arrangements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Night and weekend shifts (with availability to work from home)'

Work Remotely

  • Yes but must reside in the state of Florida

Shift

  • 12 hour; 3 days on/3 days off rotating day/night after 2 months

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
