Warehouse Operative [Ireland]


 

Chemco Ireland Limited are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our strong, committed and reliable team. This role is based with our distribution team from Stadium Business Park. They operate on a Monday to Friday Day basis.

As a Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for the safe handling of materials in and out of the warehouse.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the efficient acceptance, recording, put-away and storage of all products arriving on site.

Continuous maintenance of the highest standards in safety, quality and housekeeping is also required and you will be expected to participate and contribute in the continuous improvement of activities and training within the Operations Team.

Responsibilities

  • Show respect towards your role, your colleagues and the company as a whole
  • Pick, inspect and load customer orders while adhering to strict Safety and Quality requirements
  • Ensure that all load preparations are carried out to the highest standard and that all pre-delivery checks are carried out in full
  • Ensure all loading and unloading of product is carried out in a safe and timely manner, and all pre-checks are carried out prior to loading or unloading
  • Complete tanker down-packing activities
  • Inspect all materials at Goods In, ensuring that all material complies with our Safety & Quality requirements
  • Be familiar with the Warehouse Management System (WMS) (scanners, printers) for Picking and Processing Orders
  • Ensure that strict Inventory Control Techniques are adhered to and ensure all material is scanned in and out correctly
  • Check inbound load paperwork accompanying deliveries ensuring all details are correct
  • Work with and support the Warehouse Administrators on a daily basis
  • At all times ensure every attempt is made to maintain the highest standards of Safety and Housekeeping in the Warehouse and Yard and that these areas are left in good condition at the end of every working day
  • Ensure that all materials that are stored in the racking system are secured, tidy and organised and segregated as per regulations HSG71
  • Participate in the Inventory Control - Cycle Counting Procedure as required
  • Operate safely and correctly all Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) and their attachments. Ensuring all checks are carried out and documented prior to working, and any defects are reported to your supervisor
  • Report any near misses/accidents/incidents as required by the company Health & Safety procedures
  • Follow all reasonable instructions issued to you from your supervisor and/or member of the management team
  • Ensure product safety, quality and legality is maintained
  • Attend and complete all scheduled applicable Training as required

Experience Required

  • Experience as a Warehouse Operative
  • Previous experience working with a WMS system
  • Any MHE experience or licenses (Fork Lift Truck, Narrow Aisle Machine, Pallet Truck etc) would be an advantage
  • Be Process Driven
  • Pro-active in communication skills between departments
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions
  • Be meticulous in your work with attention to detail
  • Reliable, hardworking and flexible, team player, fast learner
  • Excellent communication both verbal and comprehension
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
