Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens

A Part Time locum tenens Adult P! sychiatrist is needed in Memphis Tennessee for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. The schedule is two days per week, flexible on the days, with some on call work. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
