Requirements include: ! MD and completion of four year Psychiatric residency training program by June 2013, and a licensure to practice medicine in the State of Tennessee. Psychiatrist at MTMHI must have the ability to effectively implement and document, as well exhibiting good judgment, strong communication skills, computer skills, and the ability to work with others.The institute houses 195 beds staffed by 598 employees functions with over 80% occupancy and has over 2,500 admissions each year providing significant contributions to the citizens of the twenty-seven county regions of Middle Tennessee. Our Psychiatric Staff provides patient care focused on evaluation, treatment, and aftercare referral with return of adult and forensic psychiatric patients to a less restrictive and less dependent environment at the earliest possible time.
