Oak Plains Academy is seeking a dynamic and talented Transportation Coordinator.
Oak Plains Academy is a comprehensive and highly struct ured 90-bed residential treatment center located on 25 acres of rolling hills in Ashland City, Tennessee. Oak Plains provides psychiatric and neurological treatment services for males and females, ages 5-17, who have significant history of emotional or behavioral issues. The clinical programs at Oak Plains Academy have been designed to address the needs of children and adolescents with a primary psychiatric/ neurological diagnosis. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers work closely with each resident to assist them to achieve there therapeutic and education goals.

The Transportation Coordinator serves the company by making sure that residents and their families are picked up and reaches its final destination on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Must adhere to all transportation policies and procedures.
Participate in scheduling appointments.
Transport residents/family in a timely fashion.
Follow all laws while driving (speed limit, seat belt, reckless driving…).
Communicate concerns to immediate supervisor without delay.
Implement and orient employees of the Patient Transportation Safety.
File all transportation Request Forms.
Notify requestor if the transportation is practical or not as soon as possible.
Other duties as assigned.
Demonstrate all Service Excellence Standards and Principles.
Position Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma.
Must meet one of the following requirements:
Must have a current Tennessee driver’s license
Must have an F endorsement
Must not have multiple violations for drivingwithout insurance
Cannot have more than two at-fault accidents three (3) years consecutive
Cannot have more than three moving violations three (3) years consecutive
Must not have driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated convictions
Physical Dem ands: Moderate to heavy. Satisfactory health, strength and stamina to meet the physical, mental and emotional demands and stressors that position requires: walking, running, standing, lifting, irregular working hours, and assisting with the restraint.
This position requires use of "Handle with Care" protective hold procedures as a last resort for protection of residents and staff.
