Description: University Medical Center is currently seeking to employ Certified OR Tech right now, this position will be settled in Tennessee. The Certified Surgical Technologist/OR Scrub Technician provides proper and efficient care of the patient in the operating room under the direct supervision of the circu! lating nurse. He/she knows sterile technique, understands basic anatomy and operative procedures. He/she also has knowledge of instruments and equipment used in the operating rooms
Requirements
Must have completed technical training program
If not certified, will agree to become certified within a certain time period from date of hire
On Call Required
Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to health care organizations. Cognitive and technical knowledge and ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care. The ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information both verbally and in writing required; as is the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken and written word. Must be flexible with work scheduling. Involves discretion and independent action within prescribed limits.
