About the Memphis VA Medical Center: The VAMC in Memphis, Tennessee consists of one main campus located at 1030 Jefferson Avenue, which includes a sixty-bed Spinal Cord Injury Unit, and ten community based outpatient clinics (CBOC). It is a tertiary care facility classified as a Clinical Referral Level I Facility and one of the most complex medical centers in the VA system. It is a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology, as well as extensive education and research programs. Comprehensive primary, secondary, and tertiary health care is provided in areas of medicine, general cardiovascular and neurological surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, neurology, oncology, dentistry, and geriatrics. Specialized outpatient services are provided through general, specialty, and subspecialty outpatient clinics including a women's health center. Services are available to more than 206,000 Veterans living in a fifty three county tri-state area (Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi).

DUTIES:
A Relocation Incentive may be authorized up to 25% of base salary . Incumbent must sign a service agreement to remain with the VAMC

The Memphis VA Medical Center is recruiting for board certified and/or board eligible Internal Medicine Physicians to provide primary care for a panel of patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Care is delivered according to the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model and focuses on team approach, patient centeredness, and prevention. Responsibilities will include completion of clinical reminders related to preventive medicine and meeting performance measure goals related to clinical outcomes. Responsibilities will include complete clinical remind ers related to preventive medicine and meeting performance measure goals. Duties may or may not include precepting/supervision of medical students and residents, functioning as collaborating physician for mid-level practitioners, and attending on the Medicine Wards or Medical Consult Service. Location of clinic duties may be at Central VA facility or at North, South, or Jackson ( Madison County ) Clinic Branches.

c. Licensure and Registration - Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States , or in the District of Columbia .
1 . Board Certified or Board Eligible, Board certified preferred.
2. Be credentialed and privileged by the (VA) to practice in the medicine profession at the VA prior to the
provision of any services.
3. DEA is required.
4. BLS is required.
