Job Summary
Job Profile Summary
The Front Lobby Receptionist greets patients, visitors and others entering the facility through the front lobby. Courteously answers questions and guides patients, visitors and others to their destinations and informs visitors of the visiting policy and upholds it at all times. Follows standard operating procedures for documentation of persons entering and/or exciting the facility.
Pay Range
Minimum $15.77 Midpoint $20.89 Maximum $26.02
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
  • Required: Work experience that includes interacting with and greeting guests, assisting customers, being organized.
  • Preferred: Minimum one (1) year of experience in a busy reception position, preferably healthcare related (IE: physician office, unit secretary on a nursing unit).
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Some college or communications classes.
Training
  • Required: Typing 40 WPM, Computer experience, faxes, copiers, multiline phones, printers.
Specialized Skills
  • Required: Must be a strong team player. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills. Excellent analytical and organizational skills; excellent critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job. Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area. Strong attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure in stressful situations.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Licensure
  • Required: RQI Responder – American Heart Association - Must be obtained within six (6) months of hire date.
  • Preferred: Comprehensive Crisis Management - CHOC.
Work Environments - Functional Demand:
Medium - High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie. Patient) .
