Administrative Assistant


 

SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Background in medical/therapy authorizations a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Creates and maintains client files and in-home binders
  • Tracks authorization dates
  • Interacts with electronic visit verification (EVV) system
  • Updates information daily in EVV system
  • Returns telephone calls to individuals requesting information on therapy services
  • Scheduling and staffing of therapy groups
  • Creates and maintains HR files for therapy staff
  • Other duties as requested by therapy managers

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to lift up to 35 lbs., stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
