In this role you will provide supervision support for a number of Sr. Custodians in the cleaning of the Medical Center. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: * Executes corrective actions and training programs. * Major functions include the assigning of work, inspection of work and the training of staff in proper cleaning procedures. * Cleans assigned area/s, patient rooms, nursing stations, ancillary rooms, exam rooms, procedure rooms, conference rooms, offices, hallways, corridors, public areas, etc. * Operates vacuum cleaners, buffers, wall washing machines, shampoo machines and floor machines. * Sweep, strip and wax floors. Performs isolation room cleaning. * Perform high and low dusting. * Cleans vertical and horizontal surfaces using approved cleaning solutions. * Knowledge in the correct use and storage of disinfectants, cleaning solutions, soaps, detergents and floor waxes preferred. * Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. You must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Working knowledge of MS Office tools including MS Word in order to type correspondence, prepare reports and presentation of materials. Working knowledge of EVS Service Programs, Ability to speak on a one to one basis with department shift supervisors, lead custodians and custodians using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to explain department administrative procedures. Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive personnel information. Ability to use, maintain and train on all Janitorial equipment. Acceptable level of expertise (2-3 year’s experience preferred) on hard and soft (carpet) floor care required.
