CCS is currently seeking a full time Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services to our patients and provide clinical consultation regarding identified cases to mental health and health care staff at our Shelby County correctional facilities, Memphis, Tennessee. This is a part time 20 hour position (day shift) â€" covering 10 hours at our Shelby County Corrections Center & 10 hours at Shelby County Criminal Justice Center . Flexible hours!
Essential Functions:
Responsible to provide psychiatric services as required and within the standards of profession! al psychiatric and medical care.
Responsible to abide by t! he security regulations of the facility, the regulations of the institution(s) to which psychiatric services are provided, and the policies and procedures of CCS.
Responsible to cooperate with the Director of Psychiatric Services, Corporate Medical Director, Regional Medical Director, Regional Mental Health Director, Health Services Administrators, and Mental Health Coordinators to ensure uniformity of mental health services.
Responsible to provide documentation of psychiatric services to permit monitoring of compliance with policies and procedures of CCS
Evaluation and treatment in a timely manner of inmates referred for psychiatric services by mental health or medical staff.
