We are looking for our new colleague who wants to be part of the future digital ABB. You will be part of a strong and professional environment working with Information Management related topics in the products, systems, and services that we offer to our customers. You will contribute to further develop this group working in close cooperation with our customers. The products and services the Information Management group deliver support mitigating operational risks and achieving effective process management by digitalizing the process lifecycle in areas such as Safety and Alarm management. The position involves assignments for Norwegian and international customers and suppliers, in segments like new energy delivery, oil and gas and land-based industry. You will be a Project Engineer for detailed design, engineering, and commissioning of ABB’s portfolio. Some travelling to customer sites is to be expected. Your responsibilities
- Design and engineer Insight software solutions, 3rd party integration, history solutions and/or cloud data streaming as part of ABB project deliveries with automation systems
- Participate in multidisciplinary project, interpreting and translating the automation scope into high level configuration
- Responsible A-Z (design to implementation) of the delivery
- Service and follow-up of existing customers and systems already installed
- Customer communication in projects
Your background
- You’d like to design and engineer the future integrated operations
- You hold an Engineering degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) within the areas of Automation, Cybernetics, robotics, Electrical Engineering
- Understand Automation system design, Safety engineering and/or Alarm management
- You know or want to learn about communication protocols OPC DA/UA, Modbus TCP etc
- A willingness to contribute positively to a team
- It is important to us that you are interested in quality
- You are fluent in Norwegian and English, spoken and written, and you have a valid working permit in Norway
- You preferably have 1 – 5 years of experience with project work
- You are curious about new technologies and services within one or more of the following areas: Knowledge of Web technologies, Network, Windows, Linux, and databases; Industrial IT and Cloud systems, Microsoft Azure; Safety Engineering; Alarm Management; Being able to communicate with and inspire customers; Enjoy providing the applications and getting the configuration right to give the customer the greatest value
