Position Summary:
The purpose of the driver and facility services is to drive delivery vehicle to transport materials, supplies or
equipment and to support building services. Load, secure, and deliver materials in a safe and timely manner.
Complete and process paperwork associated with delivery and pickups. Provide facility services to support local
building. Maintain a safe vehicle and comply with all government regulatory laws. Perform other duties as
assigned.
Essential Duties Driver:
•
Follow all company protocols for verifying incoming and outgoing deliveries.
•
Maintain knowledge of products, inventory items, and location of products
•
Transfer products and receive products to and from vendors (Columbus, FedEx, Better Labels, etc.)
•
Report any discrepancies between packing slip and deliveries and pickups.
•
Load and unload inventory
•
Perform special projects as defined by management team
•
Contact management to communicate any major issues during the shift
•
Perform daily truck inspections for safety
•
Ability to work occasional overtime shifts and work occasionally on Saturdays
•
Must be available to work on Inventory days
•
Assist other areas in operations when needed
•
Essential Duties Facility Services:
•
Maintain a clean and safe working environment and remove debris from floor in the warehouse, buildings
and company vehicle daily
•
Perform facility services such as painting, removing furniture, arranging furniture, preparing conference
rooms with chairs and tables for company meeting.
•
Shows correct sense of urgency to find and fix all abnormalities and other operating issues within building
•
Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to tolerate sustained standing/walking up to 10 hours a day.
- Ability to perform occasional to frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to utilize good eye-hand coordination.
- Ability to perform occasional bending and squatting.
- Ability to push/pull products and operate forklift of product weighing more than 1100 lbs.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience in a distribution environment.
- Must be forklift certified
- Ability to understand instructions, work processes, reason and make judgments, problem solve, plan,
- Ability to work with specified deadlines and expectations related to the department.
- Ability to communicate clearly and distinctly (oral or written) with peers and supervisors.
- Good mathematical aptitude is required to make accurate numerical additions and subtractions.
- Ability to perform effectively under stressful conditions, prioritizing job duties.
