More complete informations about this career opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Inpatient psychiatrists needed for a diverse psychiatry service. As a VA psychiatrist, you will be part of an interdisciplinary care team treating our nationÂ's heroes. The department provides a full range of mental health services including outpatient treatment in a multidisciplinary team, telehealth, primary care mental health integration, post-traumatic stress disorder specialty treatment, geriatric psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, addiction, mental health intensive case management, psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery programs, comprehensi! ve homeless programs, peer support services, vocational rehabi! litation programs, domiciliary based programs, and inpatient programs to include emergency psychiatry, community living center, consultation-liaison psychiatry, a 24-bed inpatient psychiatry unit, and an active ECT service. We have two openings available. One in the consultation-liaison service and one in the community living center. Direct patient care includes clinical teaching/supervision of residents and medical students. On-call is backup to residents and shared amongst staff psychiatrists. Board certified or board eligible psychiatrists within two years of residency completion and candidates with academic interest are highly preferred. Clinical appointment with East Tennessee State University medical school potential based on qualifications.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 07:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., may include weekends, nights, and holidays; tour at the discretion of ACOS Mental Health.
