The Department of Social Work at East Tennessee State University is currently searching to fill two 12-month clinical track positions, non-tenurable, al! though renewable annually with responsibilities embracing both teaching in either/both BSW or MSW program as well as provision of clinical and case-management services through the ETSU College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry Mental Health Clinic, an outpatient teaching clinic for ETSU’s residency program in Psychiatry. These positions involve both classroom teaching and advanced clinical social work practice in the context of a training clinic. Work load will consist of 3 teaching assignments per semester (F, Sp, Su), generally to involve only 2 separate “preparations†per semester, along with academic advising. Professional practice for 15 clock hours per week is required in lieu of formal research and the usual load of committee assignments. Continuing familiarity with trends in clinical social work is essential, but no additional and formal research or publication is required for successful performance for this role.
Minimum requirement of a TN LCSW ! or state equivalent. Must provide proof of a TN LCSW and 2-yrs! post-licensure clinical experience prior to the hire date of 1 January 2014. (An earlier hire date may be negotiable.)
Experience as a classroom instructor in a CSWE-accredited BSW or MSW program is preferred but not required. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
