Anesthesia Technician

anesthesia technician is responsible for the availability and proper
functioning of all
anesthesia related equipment
and supplies in the operating room suites, ! patient holding areas,
post-anesthesia care units, OB, MRI and
Endoscopy. He/she provides assistance to
the anesthesiologist and CRNAs. He/she
maintains
required logs and compiles
statistics and data as required.
Orientation and training is specific according to the age
of the patients served.
Requirements
Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency
standards related to health care organizations.
Cognitive and technical knowledge and ability to progressively manage
care delivery across the continuum of care.
The ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information
both verbally and in writing required; as is the ability to express or exchange
ideas by means of the spoken and written word.
Must be flexible with work scheduling.
Involves discretion and independent action within prescribed limits.
