We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work in a setting about an hour\\\'s drive from Nashville, TN. Duties and Responsibilities include: Works in conjunction and in accordance with all the psychiatric standards prescribed under the State of Tennessee Mental Health PA guidelines. Performs complete initial psychiatric assessments on patients to determine DSM IV diagnosis and develop a plan of care including medication prescription if indicated. Maintain required level of continuing education and preferred development activities. Attend all team meetings, supervision, clinical hours and share on call responsibilities assigned by Medical Director Attend a weekly review meeting with the Psychiatrist/or RN as to the care and follow up of children and adolescents that need medical checks and/or monitoring of psychotropic medicine. Provide follow up psychiatric care inc! luding monitoring of pharmacological modalities for assigned p! atients. Qualifications: Must be a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by the State of Tennessee Must have received training from an accredited Psychiatric Nursing Program with a minimum of a Master Degree as a Psychiatric Specialist Must have a minimum of one year of experience with children and/or adults who present and are assessed with a DSM-IV diagnosis. Must have current DEA number and have acquired experience in working with a family systemic model of care.EOE/M/F/D/V
