Nurse Manager â€" Intensive Treatm! ent Program/Clinical Decision Unit

TriStar Centennial Parthenon Pavilion: The ITP is a 19-bed inpatient unit that specializes in the care and treatment of the most acutely mentally ill adults. Common disorders of patients treated in this program include, but are not limited to schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder. Patients receive a pre-admission evaluation by an assessment specialist, and upon admission are assessed by psychiatry and nursing. Additionally, a psychosocial assessment will be conducted by a social worker, care coordinator or activity therapist. All psychosocial assessments are reviewed by the patient’s assigned social worker. History and physical examinations are completed per departmental policy. Assessment by other services may be conducted as warranted by the patient's status. Treatment teams composed of the core mental health disciplines of psychiatry, nursing, case management, social s! ervices, and activity therapies formulate interdisciplinary pl! ans of care and discharge plans. Care/discharge plans are customized to address the needs of the patient, with input from the patient and/or their family/significant other. Involvement of other disciplines in the care/discharge planning process (ex. pharmacy, psychology, dietary, substance abuse counselor) may occur if indicated. Periodic reviews of the plan of care are conducted to assess the patient's progress toward identified goals, and to evaluate the potential need for modification of the plan. Plans may include a variety of modalities offered by the program.

The PCDU is a 17-bed unit that specializes in assessing patients to determine the treatment program that will best address their clinical presentation. All patients receive a pre-admission evaluation by an assessment specialist, and upon admission are assessed by psychiatry and nursing. Additionally, a psychosocial assessment is conducted by a social worker, care coordinator or activity therapist. All ps! ychosocial assessments will be reviewed by the patient's assigned social worker. History and physical examinations will be completed per department policy. Assessment by other services may be conducted as warranted by the patient's mental and /or physical status. An interdisciplinary treatment team for the patient that remains on the PCDU greater than 24 hours will be composed of the core mental health disciplinary team which includes psychiatry, nursing, case management, social services, and activities therapy. This team will formulate an interdisciplinary plan of care and discharge plans which is customized to address the needs of the patient with input from the patient, and/or their family/significant other. Involvement of other disciplines in the care/discharge planning (ex. pharmacy, psychology, dietary) may occur if indicated. Periodic reviews of the plan of care are conducted to assess the patient's progress toward identified goals, and evaluate the potential need fo! r modification of the care plan. Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license by Tennessee Board of Nursing or approved compact state BSN required Minimum of three years experience in supervisory/managerial role in psychiatric arena Excellent communication and interpersonal skills BLS certification CPI within 90 days of employment
