The Psychiatry Department is seeking a clinically oriented Research Assistant I (Term) needed to! join a laboratory at Vanderbilt University using neuroimaging and neuropsychological testing to understand brain dysfunction in Schizophrenia.
Provide, under direct supervision,
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Performing diagnostic interviews.
Administering neuropsychological/cognitive tests.
Carrying out neuroimaging study protocols.
Database management.
Analysis of behavioral and brain imaging data, and assisting with manuscript preparation.
Provide support for specified research projects; collect, assess, and communicate data/results.
Assist in general laboratory operation and inventory.
Responsible for recruiting research subjects into various clinical research studies and assisting investigators in the collection and analysis of study data.
Collect, assess, and communicate data/results.
Additional Information:
This ! is a full-time, hourly Term position.
Salary is comme! nsurate upon years of education and experience.

Basic Qualifications
Individuals interested in the biological basis of mental disorders, neuropsychology and/or neuroscience, and neuroimaging are especially encouraged to apply.
Bachelors degree in Psycholog! y or a related field (i.e. Neuroscience) is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is essential.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and capable of working independently.
Experience in a clinical research setting is highly desirable.
The position requires a high level of interpersonal skills, organization, attention to detail, and problem solving abilities.
Experience using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and MATLAB is preferred. Training in diagnostic interviewing methods, neuropsychological testing, and neuroimaging data analysis will be provided.
